Advancing your inclusion strategy is a worthy cause, but it has challenges.
Research is showing that inclusive businesses are 30% more productive. We know that innovation is stifled when teams have too similar backgrounds and experiences. Yet we trust people like us and change is difficult for many, so many of our teams struggle, both with the desire and the solution for sustainable change.
Your business has probably implemented a number of inclusion strategies. You celebrate International Women’s Day and share a rainbow cake for Pride. It’s likely that you have one or two more females in the executive than you did a few years ago, and you have looked closely at earnings to ensure that men and women on like for like roles, are paid the same.
But if you add up the salaries of all the women in the organisation and the salaries of all the men, to find the average female income and the average male income, there’s going to be a large difference.
This is your gender / culture / indigenous pay gap.
The money points to decision making power. If you don’t have a balance in decision making, then advancing your inclusion strategy is likely a critical target for you.
Advancing inclusion has some unique challenges – like diversity fatigue, media stigma and resistance to change. We’ll utilise case studies and templates to understand what you’re doing well, where your gaps and what specific strategies you can implement for greater gains.
This one day workshop, advancing your inclusion strategy, will cover:
- What inclusion really is – superficial vs. substantial improvements.
- The non-diversity specific capabilities you need to build, that will contribute to an inclusive workplace.
- Using emotional intelligence and neuroscience to counter our own bias.
- What to do about diversity fatigue.
Advancing inclusion is rarely successful because of social interest. Customer outcomes drive internal policy and sway behaviours. If you’re flying the flag for D&I, your passion can sometimes get in the way.
This one day workshop looks at the ways the customer is impacted by homogenous workforces and how every one of us carries bias that prevents progress.

Our workshops are a little different, because our facilitators aren’t only trainers. They’re also experienced coaches.
Our goal in workshops is not a mere knowledge dump, but to help you shift the dial. Adjust your behaviour. That requires information and commitment. We help you make some great decisions. Decisions on more optimal outcomes in your work based on data, best practice and experience.
The training industry widely reports that about 10 – 30% of training is retained… and that 80% of learning actually happens in the application of that new knowledge. Coaching is the best way to help someone to apply what they’ve learned, to their unique environment. Amid the noise of their role and competing priorities!
During the Advancing your Inclusion Strategy Workshop you’ll do a great deal of reflective and experiential learning. After the workshop, you’ll start to apply this new knowledge in your own role.
As a follow up to the workshop, we invite you to take up a heavily discounted coaching offer, specific to the workshop. Two 1:1 video calls of up to 30 minutes, staggered over the 3 months following your workshop. Your coach will help with the practical application of those behaviour changes. So you can adapt the strategies to your style, in your environment.

Essentially you determine the outcome and we use lots of questions, to help you close the gap to reach it.
These are some of the surface questions you can expect.
What do you want to achieve? What’s stopping you? What are the options for moving past that obstacle? And what will you commit to, to bring those actions into play? To make this goal your reality?
You will emerge with more passion and conviction for what you’re doing, with greater clarity on your direction.
The follow up coach sessions will hold you accountable to those actions you decide upon. You’ll practice what you’ve learned, then debrief to do more of the great and less of what’s not working. You will cut through the noise of your regular job, to tweak your behaviour, applying the strategies learned to effect lasting change.
